A three-hour journey that offers the fundamental keys for understanding the paradigmatic areas of the city: the lively and frenzied downtown area, the “aristocratic” northern neighbourhoods and the working class southern districts. We visit the highlights of Buenos Aires, acknowledging the transformation of a village that grew into a mega polis.

Rojo Tango
Placed at an exclusive cabaret at the Faena Hotel. The most glamorous Show in Buenos Aires with the distinctive stamp of Philippe Starck. A “rojo” menu taste alongside with a varied selection of wines and Baron B. Champagne.

La Esquina de Carlos Gardel
This place is located in a traditional tango district, opposite to the former Abasto market. Show with dancers, singers and a live orchestra. Revisited recipes of criolla and international cooking.

Jewish Buenos Aires

The Buenos Aires Jewish community is of the largest in the world and its heritage remains very much preserved. Specialists guide this very comprehensive tour that introduces us into the unique features of the Buenos Aires Jewish culture. We explore the traditional Jewish neighbourhood, “Once”, the new AMIA building (mutual fund organization whose previous head office suffered a terrorist attack in 1994) and the institute of Jewish studies. We also visit the outstanding Ashkenazi and Sephardic temples as well as the site where the Israel Embassy used to stand prior to the 1992 attack.

Length: 3 hrs. Every morning from Monday to Friday
Journey: (Stops at every site) Israel’s Ambassade Square, Libertad temple, Teatro Ift, Instituto Científico Judeo (IWO), “Once” streets, Paso and Lavalle temples and AMIA.

Note: For security reason it is necessary that we get passport numbers in advance. Also, we suggest give some donations at Synagogues for opening their doors (5 usd per person per institution).

Pick up area for both tours: Av. Callao, Av. Del Libertador, Av. Alem, Av. Paseo Colón, Av. Belgrano.

Countryside day at the Estancia La Alameda

Located in Chascomús, the estancia “La Alameda” is one of the largest establishments that remains from the Buenos Aires campaign. After a welcome reception with empanadas and wine we are guided to the local historical urban centre. The journey continues with rides on carts or horse back riding through the important park. Before lunch expert horse back riders show their criollo’s skills on horses. A folk dance show performed by the estancia’s folk dance-ensemble is also offered. A guided visit to the ecological reserve and local zoo is the preface to our return to Buenos Aires.

Pick up: Between 09:30 and 10.
Length: Full day. Wednesday, Fridays and Sundays only.
Lunch: Barbecue, salad bar, desert, coffee. Wine, sodas, mineral water.

The walk focuses on the areas of Retiro and Recoleta, where Buenos Aires most clearly expresses its Parisian character, acquired in the early 20th century through its architectural styles and urban design. Plaza San Martín is one of the best examples of the belle époque, being the place where the upper class families settled and built their impressive residences at the turn of the century. We also visit other spots which evidently follow the French pattern: Alvear Avenue and Pellegrini square.

Length: 2 hrs.
Meeting Point: At the corner of Jewellery store H. Stern (Florida and Marcelo T. de Alvear).

Walking Tour: From Village to Metropolis

Four hundred years of history in fifteen blocks. The starting point is Plaza de Mayo, the core around which the city developed. The walk continues along Montserrat and San Telmo, the traditional residential areas till the end of the 1800s and the seat of the most important religious orders. The tour takes in monumental public buildings, antique residences, colonial churches and examples of utilitarian architecture, telling the story of a remote village that was meant to be a colonial capital and finally became a modern metropoli.
